Didn’t this place used to be called Von Trapp’s?
Yes it did! We changed our name in August of 2014 but everything else- owners, Executive Chef, great bier selection, etc- is the same.
Why Bocce? Isn’t that Italian?
Why yes it is! Bocce is the Italian version of a game called boules, a collective term for a group of games in which bigger balls are thrown as close as possible to a smaller target ball. Boules is played all over Germany and Austria (as well as the rest of Europe.) Due to the familiarity of Americans with bocce, however, we decided to refer to our courts as bocce courts so that we did not have to explain what boules was on a daily basis!
Do you allow minors?
Yes! Minors are welcome in our front dining room and on our bocce courts until 10pm each night, space allowing. Weekend brunch and early evenings are particularly family friendly, especially on the bocce courts.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Please enter the main building through the biergarten located on the north side of the building. We also have ramps that can be used to access the bocce courts.
Why don’t you take reservations on Friday or Saturday nights?
Due to the large number of walk-in guests on these nights, we are reaching capacity by 6:30pm. Because of this and the extended time with which guests are spending with us, we have found that it is difficult to guarantee later table reservation times in our dining room. We do take reservations up until 4pm on these days. Please note that our bier hall and bar areas are all open seating and that we do accept reservations on Friday and Saturdays for our event spaces. Please see the Event F.A.Q. below for additional info and visit our RESERVATIONS page to submit an event space reservation request. We will revisit this policy as business allows.
Do you have a Happy Hour?
Yes! Our Happy Hour is 3pm-6pm seven days a week (but we promise to be happy all the other hours too). The Happy Hour menu can be found on our menus page here.
Do we allow outside food & beverage?
Yes, with some limitations on the food. For a small corkage fee or outside food charge, you are welcome to bring in outside wine or desserts for your event or celebration.
Can you open early for an event?
Yes! If you don’t mind the small fee to cover bringing in staff early, we are more than happy to accommodate whenever possible.
What are your Event Space rates?
We do not charge for our event spaces but instead require a food and beverage minimum for reservation.

Bocce Den- 20-30 people – $250/hour
East Mezzanine- 20-35 people – $300/hour
West Mezzanine- 35-50 people- $400/hour
SUNDAY – THURSDAY
Bocce Den- 20-30 people – $200/hour
East Mezzanine- 20-35 people – $200/hour
West Mezzanine- 35-50 people- $250/hour
For groups larger than 50, rates vary depending on size and location of group.

Looking for a Gift Card?
We are happy to offer regular (physical- not digital) gift cards for purchase from our restaurant. You can either stop by and purchase one from the host at the front desk or call in with credit card info if you prefer to have it mailed to you.
The best hours to call in are between 1:00-5:00pm daily.
